I’m a painter and freelance textile pattern designer living in the Pacific Northwest. My paintings combine an interest in pattern and repetition with the abstracting of natural forms. It’s very much process-driven: I find that when I repeatedly draw or paint a specific organic form (such as a fig leaf or a goldfish plant), new shape languages emerge — at the same time that larger patterns develop.
My textile designs emphasizes a hand-drawn, handmade aesthetic. I use painting, drawing and printmaking techniques plus pixels and vector tools to create on-trend patterns. I’m currently a consignment artist at Kelly Lahl Design and am also available for collaborations.
